A group of hardworking scouts from Troop 200 spent several hours helping the Manada Conservancy clean up 10 acres of walking trails in East Hanover Township.  The scouts worked to trim branches and overgrowth and clear brush from the walking trails that are home to numerous native plants and animals.  While working, the scouts learned how to identify several invasive species of plants and were able to save several saplings of native trees from being overtaken by the nuisance plants. In all, Troop 200 donated more than 18 man hours to assist the Manada Conservancy, a non-profit that is dedicated to preserving that natural resources of Dauphin County through “land conservation, environmental education, and community engagement.”  For more information on Manada Conservancy visit manada.org <img
